Custom incentives for efficient business equipment
Rebates for commercial and industrial electricity customers installing efficient equipment or controls outside the standard rebate offers.

Custom incentives support energy-efficient equipment that does not qualify for a standard rebate. The published rates are:
- Equipment: US$0.35 per kilowatt-hour (kWh).
- Controls in retrofit projects: US$0.20 per kWh, up to 70% of total project cost.
- New installation: 25% of equipment cost.
- Operations and maintenance: US$0.20 per kWh, up to 70% of cost.
A kilowatt-hour is a unit of electricity. Incentive rates and programmes can change without notice, and funding is limited.
Eligibility
You must be a Snohomish County PUD commercial or industrial customer. Its electricity service area covers Snohomish County and Camano Island in Washington.
Every project must receive preapproval. The custom route is for energy-efficient equipment without a qualifying standard rebate. Qualifying equipment can include building controls, chillers and process cooling, fiber laser cutting, heating and ventilation systems, pumps, fans and variable-speed drives, which control equipment speed. The equipment list is not exhaustive.

To apply online, create or sign in to your MySnoPUD profile, select the green “Claim Product Rebate” button and follow the prompts for the appropriate rebate. Custom Projects/Equipment Upgrades is listed as available now in the portal.
