Isolatie Subsidie Achterhoek
Up to €2,000 for owner-occupiers in Montferland to insulate an existing, poorly insulated home.
Beskrivningen av den här finansieringen finns för närvarande på engelska.
The grant supports insulation of your roof, attic floor, walls or cavity walls, floor or ground beneath the floor, and glazing within your home's existing thermal shell: the outside layer that separates heated rooms from the outdoors. Use materials on the ISDE product-code lists, the national lists of qualifying insulation and glazing products.
You may hire an installer or do the work yourself. For DIY work, only actual material costs, necessary finishing and fixing materials, delivery and hired tools qualify; your own working hours do not. You are responsible for safe, correct installation and should seek professional guidance when needed.
The maximum is €2,000 per address. Funding is awarded in order of complete applications until the €1,055,170 budget is exhausted. If applications received on the same day would exceed the remaining budget, a lottery determines their order.
Eligibility
- You must live in Montferland and own and occupy the home. It must be an existing home in the municipality, without a recreational-use designation. Its official assessed property value (WOZ) at 1 January 2024 must be no higher than €477,000. You can look up the WOZ value at WOZ Waardeloket.
- The home must have a registered energy label D, E, F or G, or at least two existing building components must be uninsulated or poorly insulated, as assessed during application. This alternative also allows homes without a label or with label A, B or C. You only need to improve one component to receive support.
- For the alternative test, the ordinance lists roof insulation below 9 cm or Rc ≤2.0; attic-floor insulation absent or Rc ≤0.5; walls without cavity, internal or external insulation or Rc ≤1.1; floor/ground insulation absent or poor, below 5 cm or Rc ≤1.3; and single, old double or HR glazing with U ≥1.6. Rc measures the insulation of the whole construction; a higher value means better insulation. U measures heat passing through glazing; a lower value means better insulation.
- Installed materials must meet minimum areas and insulation values. Cavity walls: 10 m² and Rd ≥1.1. Other wall insulation: 10 m² and Rd ≥3.5, or ≥2.5 for monuments. Floor/ground: 20 m² and Rd ≥3.5. Roof/attic: 20 m² and Rd ≥3.5, or ≥2.5 for monuments. Double glazing: 3 m² and U ≤1.2, or ≤3.0 for monuments. Triple glazing: 3 m², glass U ≤0.7 and frame U ≤1.5. Rd measures the insulation of the product itself; higher means better insulation. Choose an ISDE-listed product.
- Work must have been carried out after 1 January 2025 within the existing thermal shell. Meet the nature-friendly insulation rules, the Omgevingswet environmental law and any permit requirements in force when work is performed, and retain proof of compliance.
- Each address receives this grant only once, including after a move or change of owner. You cannot use another municipal subsidy for the same measure; separate measures may use separate municipal schemes.
You must allow a municipality-appointed inspector into the home and plot on request. The municipality may recover all or part of the grant if work was not performed or paid for as reported, or if you refuse inspection; you must repay any overpayment. Notify the municipality promptly if you cannot complete the work or comply with grant obligations.

Create an account or log in to Energieloket Achterhoek's residents portal, choose “Subsidies” and then “Isolatie Subsidie Achterhoek”. Submit the completed, dated and signed application with installer quotations or a DIY cost estimate specifying the measures, materials, insulation values, ISDE product codes and area. For help, call 0314 820 360 or email info@energieloketachterhoek.nl. In special cases, such as difficulty using a computer or the internet, arrange a postal application by phone. Applying means accepting Energieloket Achterhoek's general service terms.
Apply by 30 September 2027, while funds remain. Approval sets a 12-month completion period; the rules set 31 December 2027 as the latest completion date, but also require activities to be finished before that date to avoid refusal. Complete the work before 31 December 2027; invoice and photo dates determine completion. Keep photos before work, of product labels and after work.
After completion, request final determination within 12 weeks. Upload receipts or invoices showing the qualifying materials, insulation values and area, and at least two photos per measure. Invoices containing installation costs must demonstrate compliance with nature-friendly insulation and environmental-law rules. Keep copies of invoices for your records and warranty. After approval of the completed work, the municipality pays within 30 days of receiving the final determination and documents from Energieloket Achterhoek.
