A €70 rebate helps household electricity customers buy a new plug-in balcony solar installation.

This route through the funding programme supports a small solar installation that supplies electricity to your home. Stadtwerke Zirndorf pays €70 into your bank account for new equipment purchased in calendar year 2026. Payment takes approximately six weeks.
Funding depends on the annual budget, with applications considered in order of receipt. There is no legal entitlement to a rebate. Only one subsidy per device and household is available annually, and this balcony-solar rebate cannot be combined with the other subsidies offered under the programme.
Eligibility
- You must hold a product electricity supply contract with Stadtwerke Zirndorf GmbH as a private household customer. Applying extends that contract for two years from the application date, overriding its ordinary term provisions. The other supply terms continue unchanged. If you use a special right to terminate, you must repay a proportionate part of the subsidy.
- The installation must use a special energy plug connection meeting DIN VDE V 0100-551 and DIN VDE V 0100-551-1. You must provide proof that the device meets the required standard class.
- Register the installation in the Marktstammdatenregister, Germany’s energy installation register, and supply the registration confirmation. The form’s registration guidance limits combined module capacity to 2,000 W and gives an inverter limit of 800 W peak, expressly marked as the position in May 2024.
- If you do not own the property, obtain your landlord’s permission.
- Notify Stadtwerke Zirndorf promptly of changes or facts relevant to the subsidy.

Complete and sign the balcony-solar application form. Attach a copy of the purchase invoice, the Marktstammdatenregister registration confirmation and proof of the required standard class. Include your customer number and bank details so the rebate can be transferred.
Send the complete signed application to Stadtwerke Zirndorf GmbH, Schützenstraße 12, 90513 Zirndorf. Incomplete applications cannot be processed. Applications are accepted while the annual budget remains available; the eligible 2026 purchase year is a purchase condition.
