The Prêt personnel Travaux Vert is a consumer loan for energy-saving renovation, including insulation, a geothermal heat pump or replacing single glazing with double glazing. You repay the loan; insurance is optional.
The bank’s example for €20,000 over 60 months uses a fixed borrowing rate of 5.36% and a fixed annual percentage rate of charge (APR) of 5.49%. It has 60 monthly repayments of €380.73, a total repayable amount of €22,843.80 and no application fee. The example assumes the first repayment falls after 30 days and uses rates valid from 31 August to 1 November 2026 inclusive. These are example terms, subject to the contract.
Optional death and disability insurance in that example costs €15.83 a month, excluded from the loan repayment, or €949.80 over the full term. Its annual insurance cost rate is 1.80%, and cover is subject to the insurance information notice.
Eligibility
- The offer is for private individuals, subject to assessment and final approval by La Banque Postale Consumer Finance.
- Energy-saving work must be carried out by a professional holding the RGE (Reconnu Garant de l’Environnement) label. A bank adviser in a post office can confirm which works qualify.
- Provide a valid identity document, proof of your address and income evidence. Employees supply their latest payslip and the previous December payslip; self-employed applicants supply their latest tax return package and two most recent tax assessments; retirees supply their latest main and supplementary pension statements. The lender may request further documents.
- No personal contribution is required. You have a statutory withdrawal period of 14 complete calendar days.
- During a consumer-credit application, the lender checks regulatory records held by the Banque de France.

Use the bank’s callback form or contact an adviser at a post office, specifying that you want the Prêt personnel Travaux Vert. The form asks for your project amount, name, date of birth and telephone number, and consent to handling your callback request. The adviser then contacts you to discuss the loan and your application.
For proof of address, the bank accepts an electricity or gas bill less than three months old, a current-year energy payment schedule, a fixed-line telephone bill less than three months old, a multimedia package that includes fixed-line telephone service, or a rent receipt less than three months old.
