Energy Efficiency Worcestershire Grant

Worcestershire County CouncilStorbritannien1–10 tn GBP

Grants help Worcestershire businesses carry out energy-saving improvements identified in a recent council energy report.

Beskrivningen av den här finansieringen finns för närvarande på engelska.

You can fund LED lighting upgrades, heating improvements, replacement equipment, insulation and other measures that save energy. The programme aims to reduce business energy costs and carbon emissions.

Grants range from £1,000 to £10,000. Your business must pay at least 60% of the total project cost, so the grant covers no more than 40%. The award depends on the projected energy savings of your project.

Eligibility

The grant is available to businesses in Bromsgrove, Malvern Hills, Redditch, Worcester City, Wychavon and Wyre Forest. You must have received a Worcestershire County Council energy efficiency report within the last two years that identifies the project you want to carry out. Solar photovoltaic panels and battery storage projects are excluded.

If you need a new energy assessment, the assessment programme has these separate conditions:

  • Your business must have a trading address in Worcestershire and have traded at its current premises for at least 12 months.
  • You must spend at least £7,500 a year on business energy, have a business energy supply and have received no council-funded energy assessment within the last two years.
  • You must meet the programme’s small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) test: fewer than 250 full-time-equivalent staff, and either annual turnover of no more than £44 million or a balance sheet total of no more than £38 million.
  • An enterprise outside that SME definition, or several such enterprises together, must not own 25% or more of your capital or voting rights. Your business must not own more than 25% of the capital or voting rights in an enterprise outside the definition.
  • Limited companies, sole traders and partnerships may qualify. Primary producers, including agriculture and horticulture businesses, and publicly funded organisations such as schools and NHS bodies cannot use the assessment programme.

An assessment does not guarantee a grant: its recommendations may include measures excluded from financial support.
