Residential Rebate Program
Rebates for new heating, cooling and electric water-heating equipment and attic insulation at homes supplied by Cimarron Electric Cooperative.
Beskrivningen av den här finansieringen finns för närvarande på engelska.
Combine eligible upgrades within the annual limit of $1,200 per residential member per home. The 2026 rebates are $600 for a geothermal heat pump, including new homes or replacements; $500 for an air-source heat pump; $400 for a mobile-home-approved heat pump or air conditioner; and $300 for central air conditioning. Dual-fuel systems, which pair a heat pump with heating that uses another fuel, are allowed in the air-source and mobile-home heat-pump categories.
Ductless mini-split heat pumps receive $400 for systems with a rated capacity of at least 2 tons or $250 for systems rated at 1.5 tons or less. New electric water heaters receive $175, excluding tankless models. The programme lists $300 for insulation; the insulation rules base the calculation on existing insulation and the final level after adding insulation, using an average where existing levels vary. Insulation rebates are paid by check.
Eligibility
You must be a Cimarron Electric residential member, and the home must receive electricity from the cooperative. Equipment must be new.
For insulation:
- Add insulation in the attic or roof between spaces that are heated or cooled and spaces that are not. The finished insulation must have an R-value of at least 49 (R-49); this rating measures its resistance to heat flow. Insulation above unconverted garages and in buildings, garages, apartments or sheds outside the home’s footprint does not qualify.
- Builders of new homes and apartment complexes do not qualify. Individual homes in a multi-home building sharing one roof can qualify. Mobile homes generally do not qualify, but Cimarron may consider them individually.
- Blown, batt or board insulation may be installed by a qualified contractor or the homeowner/property owner. Spray foam must be installed by a licensed professional installer.
- Provide photos showing measured insulation before and after installation. Cimarron may inspect the completed work.
