Balcony solar grant
Grants for Eislingen residents buying and installing new plug-in solar panels at an occupied home.

Get €50 per installed solar module, for up to two modules and €100 per system. The panels generate electricity for your home. You must buy and install the system from 1 January 2026 onwards.
Applications are accepted while the city’s €5,000 allocation for 2026 remains available. Complete applications are considered in the order received; meeting the rules does not guarantee a grant.
Eligibility
- You must be an individual with your main residence in Eislingen, owning a house or flat or renting a home there. The system must be installed at an occupied property within the city’s boundaries.
- Only one application is allowed per household or dwelling. If you own several properties, you can apply for only one dwelling or building. Individuals and households that received this programme’s grant in 2025 are excluded from the 2026 grant.
- The system must have an inverter rated between 250 and 800 watts. Only newly purchased complete systems and system components qualify; used modules, batteries and inverters are excluded.
- Installation must comply with applicable law, recognised technical standards and current city rules. Register the system in the Bundesnetzagentur’s Marktstammdatenregister, the federal energy installation register.
- Tenants need written landlord consent. Members of a Wohnungseigentümergemeinschaft (WEG), the building’s community of flat owners, need its written consent. For a protected historic building, provide the required heritage approval. A grant does not replace construction or operating permits.

Apply to the City of Eislingen/Fils after purchase and installation, once you have all required evidence. Use the city’s online application form. Alternatively, send the complete application to Felix Stiebler at f.stiebler@eislingen.de or by post to Schlossplatz 1, 73054 Eislingen.
Include the invoice in your name showing the purchase date, proof of payment, proof that the inverter complies with legal and technical requirements (such as its product data sheet), a photo clearly showing the installed modules and their location, and proof of registry registration. Add written landlord or WEG consent and heritage approval where required.
The city can withdraw all or part of the grant if the system fails to meet the rules, you miss the deadline for required evidence, or the award was based on incomplete or incorrect information.
