Aardgasvrij Eiland electric-cooking grant

Gemeente SchiermonnikoogNederländerna

A grant for resident homeowners on Schiermonnikoog to replace gas cooking with an electric appliance, suitable pans and the necessary electrical connection.

Beskrivningen av den här finansieringen finns för närvarande på engelska.

The electric-cooking component of Aardgasvrij Eiland covers your actual costs, including VAT, up to €500 for an electric cooking appliance and replacement pans that are suitable for induction. If you also incur costs for the necessary connection to and in the meter cabinet, the combined cooking grant can cover up to €1,000. These limits apply per dwelling to the electric-cooking component.

You may do the work yourself, but then only materials qualify for support. You must work competently and safely, using expert advice or supervision.

Eligibility

  • You must own and live in the home on Schiermonnikoog. It must have a residential function and be your principal residence, as shown in the municipal population register. A holiday home does not meet this principal-residence requirement.
  • The home must already have existed and had a gas connection on 23 May 2023. The supported purchase or installation must take place on or after that date.
  • A building combining residential and other uses with one gas connection counts as a dwelling. If the residential part has its own gas connection, that part counts as the dwelling.
  • Replace pans only where they are unsuitable for induction cooking. The higher cooking limit applies when you also incur the necessary meter-cabinet connection costs. A claim can be refused if the dwelling has already reached its applicable grant limit or the new award would exceed it.

Complete the work within one year after the grant award. The municipality can withdraw and recover the grant if you fail to do so without a valid explanation, or if checks show that the work does not comply with the rules. Notify the municipality immediately in writing if the work or grant obligations are likely to be delayed, incomplete or unmet.

Cooperate with checks, including access to invoices and payment proofs, advice, the home or pictures of the situation before the work. If you transfer the home before completing funded work, act within three months of the transfer: jointly request transfer of the grant with the new owner if the work will proceed, or submit a written relinquishment and repay any advance if it will not.

Villkor för ansökningsomgången
  • Electric-cooking applications remain subject to the €175,000 component budget. Complete applications are considered in receipt order.

Use the municipal form linked under “Subsidie Elektrisch koken” on the official subsidy page, or collect the paper form at the Schiermonnikoog town hall. For help with the claim, call the municipality on 0519 535050. You can authorize someone else using its authorization form.

Describe the work and provide its cost budget. The form may request proof that the bank account is in your name; a signed order, a cost estimate from the Wat-is-wijs energy advice, or an invoice or receipt for completed work; details of earlier grants under this scheme; and confirmation that your information is truthful and you will cooperate with checks. The municipality may request further information. If the application is incomplete, you have two weeks to complete it.

Complete applications are considered in the order received. The cooking component has a €175,000 budget and grants stop when an award would exceed it, even if the application deadline has not passed. The municipality normally decides within four weeks of a complete application and can extend this once by four weeks, notifying you.

If the grant is paid as an advance, report completion using the supplied form. Within eight weeks after the funded work, apply for final grant assessment and include a report explaining what you completed and how you met the obligations. The municipality normally finalizes the grant within eight weeks of that request, unless the scheme or award specifies otherwise; it may pause an incomplete request or extend once by up to six weeks.
