Solar PV grant for non-domestic buildings
Grants of up to €162,600 for businesses, farms, public bodies and nonprofits installing solar PV at premises in the Republic of Ireland.

The official Non-Domestic Microgen Scheme funds the design, purchase and installation of a solar photovoltaic system that generates electricity at a non-domestic building. The grant is a once-off payment based on the system's standard output.
Grant values rise through output bands: a 2 kWp system can receive €1,800, a 20 kWp system €6,600 and a 1,000 kWp system the maximum €162,600. Larger systems receive no additional support above the first 1,000 kWp, and the payment cannot exceed actual expenditure.
Eligibility
Businesses, the agricultural sector, public bodies, schools, community centres and nonprofit societies can apply. The premises must be in the Republic of Ireland and must have been built and occupied on or before 31 December 2020.
The installation must serve a site with electricity demand for self-consumption; an export-only generator is not eligible. You can receive support once per Meter Point Reference Number (MPRN), the identifier on the site's electricity bill.
Use an active SEAI-registered company and installer. The equipment must be new and cannot have received support previously at the premises under another grant scheme. You also cannot combine this grant with another Irish Government or State Agency grant for the same aid.

- Apply and receive SEAI's Letter of Offer before buying materials or starting installation work.
Choose a company active on SEAI's Solar PV List of Registered Companies and agree a formal contract. The company must use an installer active on SEAI's Non-Domestic Microgen List of Registered Installers. Apply online to SEAI through the route on the scheme page, then wait for the Letter of Offer before buying materials or starting work. The offer is valid for eight months.
Before installation, your company must apply to ESB Networks for the required connection. After the system is installed, the company uploads the completion documents to SEAI for the payment claim.
