Home insulation subsidy
Get up to €1,500 for contractor-installed roof or floor insulation in your poorly insulated owner-occupied home in Barneveld.
Beskrivningen av den här finansieringen finns för närvarande på engelska.
Through the adviser-led collective purchasing route, Regionaal Energieloket arranges a free home visit and a quote from a contracted insulation company. After the work, it pays the company directly, so you do not advance the subsidised part. The grant covers eligible costs considered necessary and reasonable, up to €1,500 per home. You pay any excess, or choose a smaller package within the grant amount.
This entry covers roof, attic-floor, floor and ground insulation arranged through that route. You can combine the local grant with another subsidy serving the same purpose, such as ISDE, subject to that scheme’s requirements.
Eligibility
- You must own and live in an existing house in Barneveld as your main residence. This covered route is for a house accessible directly from street level, with a floor at ground level, outside an owners association (VvE). The home must have been occupied before renovation and be registered with a residential use.
- Your home must have energy label D, E, F or G. The homes covered here have a 2024 WOZ value below €527,000; WOZ is the officially assessed property value.
- No subsidy under this same local insulation scheme may already have been awarded at your address.
- The work must improve the existing insulated boundary between your heated home and the outside, rather than a new extension, garage or outbuilding. Rental homes and conversion of non-residential buildings into rented homes are excluded.
- Roof or attic-floor insulation, and floor or ground insulation, each require at least 20 m² and insulation material with an Rd value of at least 3.5 m²K/W. Rd measures the insulation material’s resistance to heat loss. Locally sprayed PIR or PUR must use HFK-free blowing agents.
- Obtain any necessary permits before the grant is provided. If the contractor’s work falls under nature-protection legislation, the company must hold the certificate for Training Natuurvrij Maken, the training for preparing work without harming protected wildlife.

- Complete applications are prioritised by receipt date until the budget is exhausted.
- Request a household code if you have not received an invitation.
Register on the Barneveld Regionaal Energieloket insulation portal using your postcode, house number and unique household code. If you have not received a letter, request a code from Regionaal Energieloket at projecten@regionaalenergieloket.nl or 088 525 4110. You can also ask the municipality about selection at duurzaam@barneveld.nl; the municipality decides which households qualify.
Choose “Adviseur aan huis” and book the free technical-adviser visit before starting work. Review the contracted company’s quote and decide whether to accept it. Applications must be complete, dated and signed, with a quote or purchase agreement. For collective purchasing, signing the quote is the grant-award step. The company then carries out the agreed work; payment by Regionaal Energieloket to the contractor settles the grant.
Complete applications are considered in order received until the budget is used up, with a final application deadline of 31 December 2028. Promptly tell the municipal executive in writing if work will not be completed, will be late or incomplete, or grant obligations cannot be met. Also report relevant changes in financial arrangements with others or developments that threaten compliance.
