Toekomstbestendig Wonen personal loan

Gemeente ZaltbommelNederländerna2,5–30 tn EUR

An unsecured loan for Zaltbommel owner-occupiers improving an existing home, with at least one energy measure required.

Beskrivningen av den här finansieringen finns för närvarande på engelska.

The ordinary personal-loan route finances approved home improvements such as insulation, solar panels and heat pumps; air conditioning is excluded. Accessibility work, asbestos removal and foundation repairs can also be included, but at least one energy measure is compulsory.

Borrow €2,500–€30,000 under this ordinary route. The published rate is 1.6%, fixed for the loan term, with no closing fee. Loans up to €15,000 run for at most ten years; from €15,001 the maximum is fifteen years. Any financial adviser you use is at your expense. Published rates can change for new loans; the municipal award and SVn offer determine your terms.

Repay in regular instalments that cover interest and reduce the borrowed amount. Payments are applied first to any costs and other charges, then interest and principal. The whole debt must be repaid by the end of the agreed term. You must keep repaying even if your contractor fails to honour the agreement.

SVn holds the money in a building depot, a dedicated account for paying approved work. Submit invoices using its claim forms: SVn pays the contractor, or reimburses you after approving proof that you paid the invoice. You pay any invoice amount beyond the remaining depot balance yourself; you cannot top up the depot with your own money. Special bank-transfer costs are charged to you.

The depot normally lasts twelve months and can be extended once on request, to at most twenty-four months. It closes earlier when all funds are used or the work is complete; SVn may also close it after six months without transactions. Unused money reduces your loan. Interest credited on the depot, at the rate in your loan documents, offsets periodic payments for at most twelve months.

Extra or full early repayment is free, with at least €250 per extra repayment. SVn adjusts the instalment after partial early repayment and may shorten the term if it would fall below €35. Each joint borrower is responsible for the entire debt. Late payments incur statutory interest and may incur administration or collection costs.

Eligibility

  • You must own and occupy an existing home in the municipality of Zaltbommel. Joint owners apply together; at least one applicant must be younger than 76 when SVn receives the application.
  • Include at least one eligible energy measure and obtain municipal approval for the proposed work. Apply before work starts, with a supplier-signed quotation and an implementation plan.
  • SVn assesses whether your income and household, housing and work situation allow you to meet the new repayments alongside existing expenses. Home equity does not determine this assessment.
  • The debt can become immediately due if you remain in arrears after notice following at least two months of missed instalments; leave or are expected shortly to leave your permanent residence in the Netherlands; enter bankruptcy or statutory debt restructuring; or deliberately supplied materially false information, including failing to use the loan for the stated measures. It can also become due on death if SVn has good reason to expect repayment obligations will not be met.
  • Accepted actual costs must be at least €2,500 and reasonably proportionate to the result. Incorrect information or breaches of programme conditions can lead to refusal or withdrawal of the municipal award.

Status

Villkor för ansökningsomgången
  • Available while the revolving fund has sufficient budget; apply before work starts.[^c9][^c8]

Apply through the municipality’s online application using DigiD before starting the work. Include the supplier-signed quotation, proposed measures, financial justification and work schedule. The municipality assesses complete applications within eight weeks.

Municipal approval reserves funding and allows you to apply to SVn; it is not a final loan approval. SVn makes its own financial assessment, then offers or refuses the loan. Approved funds are paid through the building depot. Applications are accepted while the revolving fund has sufficient budget. The municipality handles applications in order of receipt.
