Beskrivningen av den här finansieringen finns för närvarande på engelska.

Shift4Good Fund I invests in companies reducing the environmental footprint of transport. Its focus spans air, road, rail and maritime transport, including the circular use of transport materials and products.

The published ticket is €4–20 million. This is equity financing: the investor provides capital in exchange for an ownership stake in the company. Shift4Good aims to act as lead investor: taking a leading role in putting the funding round together and agreeing its investment terms. Separately, it targets an ownership stake of at least 10%. Its Series A and B focus refers to funding rounds beyond initial idea development and seed-stage testing. Series A generally helps build a scalable business around a developed product; Series B generally helps expand that business further.

Relevant areas include alternative fuels, energy storage and charging, the battery value chain, connected vehicles, logistics, transport AI, alternative materials and circular-economy solutions. The investment focus regions are Europe, Southeast Asia and India.

Eligibility

The fund targets Series A and B startups offering software, hardware or services that can decarbonise the movement of people or goods at scale.

The investment team screens whether the business model can deliver significant, measurable environmental impact. During growth, the team works with founders to set and track impact indicators, so applicants should be able to explain the environmental improvement their business creates.
