Chicopee Electric LightMassachusettsupp till 1,5 tn USDstänger 31 jan. 2027

CEL residential electric customers can receive $500 per ton toward a qualifying air-source heat pump, up to $1,500 per address each year.

Beskrivningen av den här finansieringen finns för närvarande på engelska.

The rebate supports air-source heat pumps, including mini-splits, that provide heating and cooling. The amount uses the cooling capacity on the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) certificate: one ton equals 12,000 BTUs. Support is limited to three tons and $1,500 per address per calendar year.

Rebates below $1,000 are credited to your electric bill; rebates above $1,000 are paid by electronic funds transfer or check. Allow four to six weeks for processing.

Eligibility

  • You must be a CEL residential electric customer installing equipment at your electricity service address.
  • Your air-source heat pump must have SEER2 of at least 15.2 (seasonal cooling efficiency), HSPF2 of at least 8.1 (seasonal heating performance), and COP of at least 1.75 at 5°F (heating output relative to electricity input). Check the equipment ratings without rounding them up.
  • A Massachusetts-licensed contractor must install the equipment. Self-installations and cooling-only ductless mini-splits are excluded.
  • Purchase and installation must both take place from 1 January to 31 December 2026.
  • Before signing, obtain your contractor’s Manual J sizing report, which calculates the heating and cooling capacity needed for your home. Your signature confirms receipt of this report and that you are satisfied the system will meet your heating and cooling needs.
