Residential EV charger rebate
Chaska Electric customers can receive $250 per port towards a new hardwired Level II home electric vehicle charger.
Beskrivningen av den här finansieringen finns för närvarande på engelska.
The rebate helps pay for a residential Level II electric vehicle charger, at $250 per charging port. It cannot exceed the purchase price of labor and materials. Rebates of $300 or less are credited to your utility bill; larger rebates are paid by check to you, never to your installer or supplier.
Requests are handled first come, first served from limited annual funds, and payouts may extend over several years. Terms and amounts may change, so check with Chaska Electric that the program remains in effect. You are responsible for any tax liability arising from the rebate. The City retains all rights to the capacity and carbon savings associated with your rebate. Application information may be shared with the Department of Commerce and Energy Management Solutions, Inc.
Eligibility
- You must be an electric customer served by the City of Chaska Electric Department. This is a residential Level II charger rebate.
- The charger must be new, meet the equipment specifications and be hardwired to a dedicated electric vehicle service. The City requires a bypass meter socket and does not permit deduct metering. You own the service wire.
- Your installation must comply with local building codes, have all necessary permits and comply with local, state and federal regulations. The utility supplies and installs its meter after the Minnesota electrical inspection is completed.
- The City may inspect installations before paying and randomly verify projects. If the requested rebate exceeds $5,000, a pre-check before buying equipment and an on-site verification are required. The City may adjust a rebate when the application does not comply with its rules.
