Beskrivningen av den här finansieringen finns för närvarande på engelska.

The Charlottesville Gas Energy Efficiency Program (CGEEP) provides home improvements through the Charlottesville Department of Utilities and the Local Energy Alliance Program (LEAP). Qualifying work includes air sealing, attic insulation, hot-water pipe insulation, programmable thermostats and water-saving improvements.

Eligibility

You must be a Charlottesville Gas customer in the City of Charlottesville or Albemarle County and live in a single-family home, duplex or townhouse. Homeowners and renters can apply. Renters need written permission from the property owner.

You must use natural gas for home heating and/or water heating. The programme also requires a gas furnace or boiler to heat the home; a fireplace does not qualify as the primary source of heat.

Your combined household income from all sources for the preceding calendar year must be at or below the following limits:

  • One person: $74,800.
  • Two people: $85,450.
  • Three people: $96,150.
  • Four people: $106,800.
  • Five people: $115,350.
  • Six people: $123,900.

If the gas account holder is aged 60 or older, the limit is $99,840 for a one-person household or $114,336 for a two-person household.

If you currently receive State Fuel Assistance, Rent Relief or Tax Relief, the application allows you to skip its household-income section. The City verifies programme participation for City residents; County residents must attach evidence of participation.
