In-home heat-pump rebates
Rebates for active electric members installing efficient air-source or mini-split heat pumps on Dunn Energy Cooperative lines.

This entry covers new air-source and mini-split heat-pump systems larger than one ton. The rebate is $200 per ton, multiplied by the number of units, and cannot exceed the equipment cost or 100% of its purchase price. One ton means 12,000 British thermal units per hour of capacity; systems larger than one ton are rounded up to the nearest half-ton for the calculation.
Rebates of $499 or less are paid as an electricity-bill credit unless you request otherwise; payments of $500 or more are made by check. Claims are processed monthly, with bill credits applied to the following month’s bill.
Eligibility
- You must be an active electric member of Dunn Energy Cooperative, and the new equipment must be installed on its electricity system.
- The heat pump must meet both seasonal cooling and heating efficiency ratings: SEER2 of at least 14.3 and HSPF2 of at least 7.5, or SEER of at least 15 and HSPF of at least 8.8. These are the equipment’s seasonal cooling-efficiency and heating-performance ratings. Provide its AHRI certified reference number and certificate, purchase receipt and serial number.
- You cannot claim an incentive for both a measure and one of its components, such as a heat pump and its variable-speed blower motor.
- Products must be purchased and work performed during 2026. Funds are limited, and the incentive may end when its budget is used. Additional eligibility criteria may apply; the programme can change or be cancelled without notice. Contact Dunn Energy Cooperative for current details.

Complete and sign the 2026 HVAC incentive form. Find the equipment’s AHRI certificate number through the AHRI Directory. Attach a receipt or invoice for each item with the purchase price and installation date circled, the AHRI certificate and serial number, and proof that the equipment has been installed. If you installed it yourself, include photos of the installed unit.
Send the form and documents to Dunn Energy Cooperative at P.O. Box 220, Menomonie, WI 54751, or email attachments to info@dunnenergy.com. Put the documents in attachments rather than in the email body.
Submit forms and receipts within three months of purchase and required documentation within three months of installation, and no later than December 31, 2026. Meet each applicable deadline; submit promptly because funds are limited.
