Home insulation grant

Gemeente DantumadielNederlandeneop til 2,5 t EURlukker 31. aug. 2027

Owner-residents in Dantumadiel can receive up to €2,500 to have a poorly insulated home insulated by an installer they choose.

Denne finansieringsmulighed er i øjeblikket beskrevet på engelsk.

This entry covers the municipal-only B route for a house rather than an apartment, where you arrange a professional installer and pay the bill first. Duurzaam Bouwloket reimburses the approved eligible costs after checking your evidence. One or several insulation measures can share one award per home, covering up to 100% of eligible direct costs, to a total of €2,500. You pay any excess.

Eligible work includes cavity or external-wall insulation, roof or unheated attic-floor insulation, floor or crawlspace-bottom insulation, and HR++ high-performance double glazing. The grant excludes application preparation, technical home advice, ecological surveys, costs subsidised from another source, and taxes or charges that you can recover or offset.

Eligibility

  • You own and live in the home as your principal residence, with registration in Dantumadiel. The home must have its own front door and no other dwelling or structure above or below it; apartments do not qualify for this route. Your 2024 gross income must be more than €25,350 if single, or more than €35,908 combined if married or living with a partner.
  • The home must be in Dantumadiel. Its municipal property valuation (WOZ) at 1 January 2022 must not exceed €400,000 for a 2026 application, or €429,300 for a 2027 application.
  • It must have energy label D, E, F or G, a comparable energy condition, or at least two poorly insulated components. The municipal table identifies these poorly insulated components: a roof with absent, poor or moderate insulation (less than 9 cm or an indicative Rc ≤2.0); an uninsulated attic floor (indicative Rc ≤0.5), only as an alternative to roof insulation for an unheated attic with a closed hatch or access door; walls without cavity insulation, an internal lining or external insulation (indicative Rc ≤1.1); a floor/bottom with absent or poor insulation (less than 5 cm or indicative Rc ≤1.3); or single, old double or HR glass (Ug ≥1.6). Existing HR+, HR++, triple and vacuum glazing count as sufficiently insulated. Rc measures a building component’s resistance to heat loss; Ug measures heat passing through glass.
  • The work must improve the existing walls, roof and floors surrounding living space, not an extension, new construction or a demolished and rebuilt part. This entry covers homes built before 1 January 2019, or with a building-permit application before 1 July 2018. There must be no previous award under this municipal scheme for the home. Work done before 1 January 2024 is excluded.
  • Use insulation products from the national notification-code lists. The new material alone must meet the required resistance; existing insulation cannot be added to reach it. Rd is the material’s resistance to heat loss: cavity walls need Rd ≥1.1 and at least 10 m², with support up to 170 m²; external walls need Rd ≥3.5 and 10–170 m². Internal walls and partition walls are excluded.
  • Floor/bottom insulation needs a combined area of at least 20 m² and resistance ≥3.5, with support up to 130 m² per type. Floor insulation goes above or below the existing floor; bottom insulation goes on the crawlspace ground. If they are directly above each other, only one can be supported; different areas can qualify together in one application. Locally sprayed PIR/PUR insulation foam must use blowing agents without hydrofluorocarbons (HFK-free).
  • Roof/attic-floor insulation needs a combined area of at least 20 m² and Rd ≥3.5. Support covers up to 200 m² of roof or 130 m² of attic floor. An attic must have no heating facilities. Roof and attic-floor insulation directly above each other cannot both receive support; separate, non-overlapping rooms can qualify in one application.
  • HR++ high-performance double glazing needs U ≤1.2 W/m²K: U measures heat passing through the glazing. The total replacement area must be at least 3 m² for installation from 2025, or 8 m² for 2024 work, with support up to 45 m². New openings where there was previously a wall are excluded.
  • Follow nature-protection rules. Before cavity-wall insulation, a certified installer must carry out a test for bat DNA (eDNA), costing the owner approximately €350–€500. No bat DNA means work may proceed; a positive result means it cannot proceed yet and further investigation or permission may be needed.

This page covers standard insulation in homes without monument status.

Vilkår for ansøgningsrunden
  • Apply while municipal funds remain.

Start a new B application through Duurzaam Bouwloket’s portal, complete the eligibility check and select the option to choose your own insulation company. The administrator reserves the grant after your choice. Apply by 31 August 2027 while funding remains. Complete applications are ranked by arrival; simultaneous applications exceeding the budget are ranked by lottery.

Agree the qualifying materials and areas with the installer before work. Pay the invoice, then submit all evidence together for all measures: quotation, invoices and payment evidence; product type, brand/manufacturer, area and thickness; purchase, installation and payment dates; your address; and photographs showing the work and products. Duurzaam Bouwloket pays you back after checking compliance; final settlement is based on actual eligible costs. For work already completed from 1 January 2024, the municipality can determine the award directly from evidence submitted with the application.

Finish within 12 months of the award and no later than 31 December 2027. A single extension of the 12-month period may be requested with proof that completion is impossible in time, but it cannot go beyond that final date. Keep original invoices and other evidence for at least five years after final determination, and cooperate with sample checks, including home visits, for up to six months after final determination.
