Household battery retrofit grant

BorzenSlovenien

Grants for private household electricity customers adding a new battery to an existing solar installation in Slovenia.

Denne finansieringsmulighed er i øjeblikket beskrevet på engelsk.

JP SO-03 reimburses completed purchases and installations of new batteries added to solar panels already serving your household. Eligible costs include VAT, the battery, associated electrical equipment, installation and related building work, plus purchase and installation of a hybrid inverter.

The grant pays EUR275 per eligible kWh of storage, limited to 40% of eligible investment costs. Payment covers at most 2 kWh per installed kW of solar-panel capacity and at most 27.2 kWh per connection point. A larger battery is allowed, but its total installed capacity must be at least 0.7 kWh per installed kW of solar-panel capacity.

Eligibility

  • You must be a private household electricity customer investing in the battery. You must own or co-own the land where the building stands, be an apartment owner or co-owner of the land beneath the relevant building part, or be a qualifying family member of the owner or co-owner. Family members include a spouse or cohabiting partner and people living in the same household. Direct-line relatives are your ancestors and descendants, including parents, grandparents, children and grandchildren. Collateral relatives share a common ancestor; relatives through the fourth degree include siblings, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and first cousins. First cousins are at the fourth-degree boundary. Adoption creates the same parent–child relationship as that between parents and their children. Obtain the required agreement of property owners and co-owners before applying.
  • You must own the battery and also be the electricity customer. Sole traders and individuals conducting an independent profit-making activity, including farmers and supplementary farm businesses, are excluded.
  • Complete the new battery installation after 1 January 2024 and before applying. It must be added to an existing solar installation; the distribution operator must have registered you as a self-supply customer, and you need a valid system-use contract and connection consent covering the battery. Used, refurbished, pilot and prototype batteries and associated electrical equipment are excluded.
  • The existing solar installation must use connection scheme PS.3A or PS.3B. These are the connection layouts identified in the call; your connection approval must meet the specified Slovenian distribution-system rules. Individual self-supply uses the building’s internal low-voltage installation, with solar connection power no greater than 0.8 times the metering point’s authorised consumption connection power. Solar connection power is the lower of the inverter’s rated power and the sum of panel ratings.
  • The same investment cannot already have received any other investment assistance, whether from Borzen, Eko sklad or another provider. When applying, you must also declare that no other grant application is pending for the same production installation.

Borzen may check the funded investment for three years after payment. False information, misleading declarations, misuse of funds or other regulatory breaches can lead to recovery of the whole grant plus statutory late-payment interest.
