Loans for existing agricultural businesses in Cambodia to reduce emissions, improve energy use or adapt production to climate change.

You can borrow for green improvements across agricultural production and supply chains. Examples include renewable energy, energy efficiency, low-carbon farming, drought-resistant crops, net houses, water storage and irrigation improvements.
Working capital for business operations ranges from USD 500 to USD 100,000, with annual interest of 6–7.5% and a term of up to 12 months. Investment capital ranges from USD 500 to USD 200,000, with annual interest of 6.5–7.5% and a term of up to 84 months.
You repay the money borrowed on a schedule based on your cash flow: monthly, quarterly, every six months or at the end of the loan term. You pay interest monthly. ARDB charges no penalty for repaying part or all of the loan before its term ends.
Eligibility
You must be an individual or legal entity with an existing local business or production operation in Cambodia’s agricultural value chain, contributing to rural economic development. Your activities must comply with environmental and social safeguards, and projects should be screened for environmental and social risks and opportunities.
You need a good credit history, enough income or cash flow to repay the loan, and sufficient collateral. The bank accepts an authority-recognised mortgage or a certificate of deposit, among other forms of security.
Your business model must reduce emissions or increase carbon storage, reduce vulnerability to climate impacts, or combine these aims. Financed projects are expected to provide at least one environmental, economic or social benefit, through environmental and social risk screening, gender responsiveness and benefits such as health and safety improvements, or jobs, income and financial inclusion.
