Energy-improvement loan for businesses and housing associations
A loan for companies and housing associations to finance energy renovations or selected individual improvements in their buildings, including material and labour costs.
Αυτή η ευκαιρία είναι προς το παρόν διαθέσιμη στα Αγγλικά.
You can finance a larger renovation that reduces the building’s energy use by at least 30%, or apply for selected individual measures even when the combined improvement is below 30%.
The eight measures are solar panels; batteries storing surplus solar electricity; electric vehicle charging points next to the building; energy-efficient replacement windows and doors; insulation or additional insulation; ventilation and heating-system improvements such as heat recovery; heat pumps; and solar thermal collectors for water-based heating.
You repay the loan with interest. SEB sets the price individually and seeks to adapt the repayment schedule to your needs. Fixed or variable interest and monthly or quarterly payments are available.
Eligibility
- The building must be owned by a company or housing association. A representative applies on its behalf; individuals cannot use this offer for a private home.
- Companies must have a valid legal form, be registered in Sweden and have a Swedish bank account. The company must be an SEB customer before applying.
- SEB assesses the project and your ability to repay. In most cases, you must use the property as security for the loan through mortgage deeds (pantbrev) with full lending value. How much you can borrow against the property depends partly on its type.
- Investments using fossil fuels as the energy source are excluded. Heat pumps are excluded if their refrigerant’s global warming potential (GWP), a measure of its warming effect, exceeds 675.

If your company is not already an SEB customer, apply to become one first. Contact SEB on 0771-62 53 53. Housing associations can contact its specialists on 0771-28 28 00 or brf@seb.se.
For the 30% reduction route, provide documentation showing the effect of the measures. SEB’s advisers explain what your project needs; examples include quotations or calculations made with a consultant. For individual measures, a quotation followed by a supplier invoice can often suffice.
