Study to assess a local climate adaptation project
Grants of up to CAD 70,000 help Canadian municipalities and eligible partners assess whether a proposed climate adaptation project is feasible. Standard funding covers up to 80% of eligible study costs, with higher shares for qualifying communities.
Study to design financing for climate-resilient homes
Up to CAD 150,000 helps municipalities and eligible partners in Ontario, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan and Yukon design climate-resilience additions to existing home-upgrade financing. Nova Scotia is limited to flood measures.
Study to plan phased upgrades to municipal buildings
Grants cover up to 50% of eligible costs to plan staged energy and emissions reductions in municipal buildings: up to CAD 65,000 for one building or CAD 200,000 for several. Qualifying small, northern and Indigenous communities may receive higher cost shares.

Grants for affordable housing providers to assess a major energy upgrade before construction: up to CAD 200,000 for one building or CAD 350,000 for a portfolio of several buildings.
Home Renovation Savings: rebates for upgrades with an energy assessment
Ontario homeowners can receive rebates for at least two qualifying upgrades, including insulation, windows and doors, air sealing or a heat pump water heater, after an initial energy assessment.
Home Renovation Savings: attic insulation without an energy assessment
Ontario homeowners can receive 50% of eligible after-tax insulation costs, with separate caps for attics and cathedral ceilings or flat roofs. This standalone rebate requires a participating contractor, but no home energy assessment.
Home Renovation Savings: heat-pump purchase or rental rebates
Ontario homeowners installing a home’s first space-heating heat pump can receive rebates toward an eligible purchase or rental, with amounts determined by technology, existing heating fuel and ownership of the equipment.
Home Renovation Savings: rooftop solar and battery rebates
Ontario homeowners can receive up to CAD 5,000 for new rooftop solar and another CAD 5,000 for a battery installed with that new solar system, each subject to capacity and eligible-cost limits.
Solar Rebate for year-round homes
Manitoba homeowners can receive CAD 0.50 per installed watt of new solar photovoltaic capacity, up to CAD 5,000 per home, for an eligible grid-connected system serving their or their tenant’s primary residence.
Home Insulation Rebate and air-sealing bonus
Efficiency Manitoba rebates eligible insulation materials for existing, year-round Manitoba homes. Funding depends on the area insulated and the added insulation value; qualifying air sealing can add CAD 500–1,000.
Residential Air Source Heat Pump Rebate

Residential Ground Source Heat Pump Program
Eligible Manitoba homeowners can finance a new or replacement ground-source heating system through contractor funding and a CAD 75 monthly, interest-free customer payment for 15 years, with additional upfront costs where applicable.
