Balcony solar grant

Gemeinde CremlingenGermanyup to 300 EUR

A grant for a new plug-in solar system for tenants and residents of owned flats in Cremlingen.

The grant pays up to 30% of the system’s purchase price excluding VAT, up to €300 for one system per household. It supports a plug-in photovoltaic system that generates electricity for your home.

Other public or private funding can be combined with this grant, but you must respect the other funders’ caps and restrictions on combining support. After approval, lower costs or additional financing can reduce the grant proportionately. If the rest of the financing remains unchanged, this reduction applies only when the total costs or financing change by more than €1,000.

Use and look after the system for the purpose stated in your award. Do not dispose of it or put it to another use during the binding period specified in the award. If the system stops serving the funded purpose, the municipality normally adjusts recovery for the period of proper use. It can waive withdrawal where the system is no longer suitable and has no remaining financial benefit, or it approves use for another eligible purpose. Keep an inventory record if its purchase value excluding VAT exceeds €800.

Tell the municipality promptly about other funding for the same purpose, changes affecting the grant’s purpose or eligibility, and inability to carry out the funded purpose. Report when an inventoried system is no longer used or needed for the funded purpose during the binding period. Cost reductions or financing changes must be reported if they exceed 7.5% or €10,000. Keep the supporting records for five years after submitting proof of expenditure, or longer if another law requires it, and provide documents and information for grant inspections.

False or incomplete information, misuse or failure to meet award conditions, reporting or notification duties can lead to repayment. Recovery normally carries annual interest at five percentage points above the statutory base rate. The current rules ordinarily waive recovery of amounts up to €1,000 and interest claims up to €750; these are ordinary administrative rules, not an unconditional right to keep a misused grant.

Eligibility

  • You must be an individual resident in Cremlingen renting a house or flat, or living in an owned flat. Owner-occupied detached houses do not qualify through the owned-flat category. The building must be within the municipality.
  • Only one new system per household qualifies. Prototypes, self-built systems and used components are excluded, as are installations that conflict with planning, building or heritage requirements.
  • Apply before commissioning the system. You may buy it first, but the purchase invoice must be dated no more than four weeks before your application.
  • Follow the grid operator’s current requirements and pay associated costs, such as a necessary two-way meter or suitable household connection. The inverter output must remain within the plug-in generation limit permitted at the time you apply. Your household operates the system and is responsible for proper installation.
  • Obtain the property owner’s consent yourself where it is necessary.

How to apply

Status
Open continuously
Round restrictions
  • Applications are considered in order of receipt, subject to available municipal funds; no legal entitlement.[^c9][^c10][^c11]

Complete and sign the Zuwendungsantrag and submit it to Gemeinde Cremlingen, Ostdeutsche Straße 22, 38162 Cremlingen. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis and allocated in order of receipt, subject to available municipal funds and the municipality’s decision; there is no entitlement to a grant.

After the award, implement and fully account for the project within one year of the award date. A written request made before that period expires can extend it once by six months if special reasons are proven. A further extension is possible exceptionally where delays are outside your control. Failure to notify completion or request an extension by expiry invalidates the award.

Submit the payment application, cost statement and all invoices no later than three months after the award period ends. Payment follows the municipality’s check; missing that deadline invalidates the award. Include proof of grid-operator notification and federal energy register registration if these were required when you applied. The payment form requires your tax identification number.
