Communal energy grants
A municipal top-up for owner-occupiers in Junglinster who have received qualifying national aid for home insulation renovations.
This page covers insulation renovation in existing homes more than ten years old, including walls, roofs, floors and qualifying windows. The municipal grant is 20% of the state subsidy for those measures, rather than 20% of the work’s cost. State and municipal aid together cannot exceed actual expenditure.
If you received the named “prime d’encavement” in the year before your municipal energy-grant application, the municipality adds 50% to its grant amount.
Eligibility
You must be a natural person who has had the work carried out in a dwelling in Junglinster and has already obtained the corresponding national award. This route covers awards under the former national Klimabonus rules (RGD 2022).
- The dwelling must be more than ten years old. Measures must have been ordered from 1 January 2024.
- You must occupy the dwelling for at least ten years. Sale before ten years requires full repayment. Legal persons, second-hand installations and installations failing environmental criteria are excluded.
- External wall insulation, roofs and upper floors against unheated space require mineral or ecological insulation; fossil insulation is excluded. Internal wall insulation must be ecological, excluding mineral and fossil materials. Walls against soil or unheated space and lower floors against soil or unheated space allow all insulation materials.
- Mineral insulation must have an Ieco12 environmental indicator no higher than 23.7 UI6/m², be entirely mineral including the render, and be fixed mainly mechanically except for the render. Ecological insulation has the same indicator limit, consists exclusively of renewable materials and is fixed exclusively mechanically except for the render. All conditions apply together.
- Windows and glazed doors must accompany either external-wall insulation or controlled mechanical ventilation.
Aid is granted only once per dwelling. False information can require repayment. The municipality can verify the information and request additional supporting documents.
