Grants and tax incentives
Energy Investment Allowance (EIA)
A Dutch tax allowance for companies investing at least €2,500 in eligible energy-efficient technology or carbon-cutting assets.
MIA/Vamil
A Dutch tax scheme for income- or corporation-tax payers investing at least €2,500 in eligible environmental technology on the Environment List.
DEI+: Circular economy and large-scale bio-based projects
Grants of up to EUR 30 million for companies testing or demonstrating circular technologies that reduce carbon emissions.
Innovation Fund industrial heat auction
Competitive grants paid against verified low-carbon industrial heat production in the EU and EEA. Applicants finance delivery before payments begin; the 2025 auction is closed.
SSEB grants for construction equipment and charging
Grants for Dutch businesses buying or financing new zero-emission construction equipment. The 2026 purchase budget is oversubscribed; charging has a separate application and budget.
Consortium grants for hydrogen stations and vehicles
SWIM supports business consortia combining hydrogen refuelling with vehicles or logistics equipment. The 2026 round is closed; the current regulation schedules the next round for 31 March–11 May 2027. Funding can reach €12 million, with separate station and fleet limits.
Grants to retrofit construction equipment and vessels
SSEB Retrofit helps Dutch construction businesses and equipment lessors convert equipment they already own and use. It supports electric and qualifying hydrogen conversions as well as nitrogen-oxide reduction. Applications close on 30 October 2026 at 17:00; the budget is already oversubscribed.
Flex-e electricity-use scan grant
A grant for an independent adviser to assess how your organisation can shift electricity use and ease pressure on the Dutch power grid.

A Dutch state guarantee that helps SMEs borrow for investments delivering at least 15% energy savings or for eligible temporary energy-related working-capital needs.
