Esta oportunidad está disponible actualmente en inglés.

Astanor Venture backs founders using science and technology to improve the food and agriculture system. Its climate-relevant focus includes scalable solutions that reduce greenhouse-gas emissions and data tools that help other businesses measure or improve their environmental impact. The wider investment strategy also covers biodiversity, water, health and social outcomes.

Astanor’s pre-seed and seed focus supports companies at the earliest stages of development, with a €1 million investment target in Europe and the US. Its Series A/B focus covers subsequent funding rounds to grow the business, with a €5–10 million target in Europe and North America. These are stage-specific investment targets, not promised awards. This is venture capital: founders raise investment in their business and share ownership and future financial returns with investors.

Astanor also works with companies through board involvement and its industry network. Early-stage support can include developing governance, technical plans and commercial strategy. Its sustainability support includes assessing how mature the company’s practices are, agreeing improvement milestones and helping measure impact.

Eligibility

The founder route is aimed at companies with a scalable business model and strong impact potential. Astanor looks for teams with relevant expertise and a clear understanding of the problem they are solving. For the earliest company-development rounds, consider the pre-seed/seed focus; for subsequent rounds financing business growth, consider the Series A/B focus. Match the relevant geographic focus as well as the company’s stage.

Every investee company must contribute to at least one of Astanor’s six objectives without harming the others: reducing greenhouse-gas emissions, protecting biodiversity, saving water, supporting social welfare, promoting good health or collecting climate-tech data. A climate-focused pitch should explain the relevant contribution and how it can be measured.

All Astanor investment entities follow its Responsible Investment Framework. Its published GHVI-S2 fund disclosures explain more detailed checks for investments by that fund: compliance with the exclusion list and minimum social safeguards, environmental and social risks, and corporate governance appropriate to the company. The fund checks that a company does not operate in countries considered high-risk for money laundering, terrorist financing or corruption. The safeguards cover human rights and fundamental labour rights, including the OECD Guidelines, UN Guiding Principles, ILO declaration and International Bill of Human Rights. Consult the current regulatory documents when assessing the investment fit.

For GHVI-S2, an investment must not significantly harm the six environmental objectives covering climate mitigation, adaptation, water, circularity, pollution and biodiversity. Its investment documents include impact and sustainability commitments. After investment, the fund’s disclosed process includes annual sustainability checks and an improvement roadmap reviewed at least twice a year with the company.

How to apply

Use Astanor’s entrepreneur contact form to introduce the company and share a pitch, or connect with the investment team through that route. The form asks for contact details, company name, country of operations, investment stage, sector, a mission statement of up to 50 words and the impact objectives the company contributes to.

Explain the business model, team expertise, stage, commercial opportunity and measurable impact. Astanor screens the opportunity and conducts commercial and sustainability due diligence before an investment decision. Its published fund process proceeds through investment documentation, a deeper impact assessment, monitoring and eventual exit; submitting a pitch does not commit Astanor to invest.
