Support for energy-saving appliances and measures
Households in Schöneck can receive grants for efficient appliances, heating improvements, a cargo e-bike or other listed energy-saving measures.

Gemeinde Schöneck pays contributions from the Kommunales Energieforum, financed by EAM, towards the following purchases and work.
- Refrigerators and freezers: €60 for energy class C or better, or €50 for class D. Fridge-freezer combinations: €60 for class B or better, or €50 for class C.
- Washing machines: €60 for class A. Heat-pump tumble dryers: €60 for class B or better, or €50 for class C. Dishwashers: €60 for class A, or €50 for class B.
- Induction hobs with at least three cooking zones: €60.
- Rotary clothes airers: 50% of the purchase price, capped at €20. Radiator fans and fans for wood-burning stoves, tiled stoves or fireplaces: 50% of the purchase price, capped at €30.
- Heating pumps in class A and hot-water circulation pumps with a maximum power consumption of 12 watts: €75 each, provided a specialist firm installs them.
- Hydraulic balancing of the heating system, which adjusts water flow through the system: €125, with a specialist firm's invoice.
- Electric cargo bikes with at least 50 kg payload in addition to the rider's weight: €125.
- An energy adviser visiting the property: €40, with a specialist firm's invoice.
Eligibility
The offer is for households and buildings in Schöneck. Only one measure per household or building is funded in a year.
The appliance must be bought, or the work carried out, between 1 January and 31 December 2026. You must also submit the application within that period. The budget is limited, and grants are allocated in the order applications arrive.

- The purchase or work and the application must both fall within 2026. Funding is limited and allocated in application order.
Complete and sign the 2026 application form. Submit it with the invoice and proof of payment to the Umweltbüro der Gemeinde Schöneck, Technisches Rathaus Kilianstädten, Herrnhofstr. 7. The documents must show the applicant's name and the energy efficiency class of the purchased appliance or pump where applicable. Include confirmation from a specialist firm when required.
The municipality checks the claim documents before paying the grant.
