Climate Premium for heavy trucks
Grants for businesses, municipalities and regions buying or leasing a new heavy truck powered by electricity or biogas.
Tämän rahoitusmahdollisuuden kuvaus on toistaiseksi englanniksi.
For electric trucks, including hydrogen fuel-cell trucks, the grant is based on the extra cost compared with a comparable conventional truck. Energimyndigheten's rules determine which price difference can be counted.
For companies, the grant can cover up to:
- 60% of the accepted extra cost for small companies.
- 50% for medium-sized companies.
- 30% for large companies.
Biogas trucks have two limits: 20% of the purchase price or leasing cost, and 40% of the accepted extra cost. The grant cannot exceed either limit. Running costs are not covered.
Grants depend on money remaining in the budget.
Eligibility
- Apply before you order the truck.
- Its gross weight must exceed 3.5 tonnes, and it must be registered in Sweden.
- It must not previously have been put into service as a truck.
- It must be put on the Swedish road register as in traffic (påställd), and must not previously have held that status.
- If you lease it, the agreement must last at least 12 months.
- A purchase or lease required by law, regulation or a permit cannot receive support.
For companies buying or leasing biogas trucks, the grant counts towards the EU's de minimis aid limit: EUR 300,000 over three years, including other aid under those rules and aid to the same corporate group. Companies in financial difficulty under the EU definition cannot receive this support.
