Household energy loan
Borrow for improvements that reduce your home’s energy use, including insulation, replacement windows, appliances and heating systems.
Cette fiche est actuellement disponible en anglais.
You can borrow SEK 30,000–350,000 for energy-saving measures. Examples include additional insulation, replacement windows or household appliances, shares in wind power, and heating through district or local networks or pellets. The investment must reduce energy use in your dwelling. The bank directs solar-panel buyers to its separate Sollån.
You repay the borrowed money with interest over 1–12 years, depending on the loan’s size and purpose. The published interest rate is variable, currently 4.90%. The setup fee is SEK 550, waived for Nyckelkund customers. Electronic invoices cost nothing; postal invoices cost SEK 45 each. The page notes that savings banks can have different prices and offers.
As an illustration, the bank shows a SEK 100,000 loan repaid over five years with straight amortisation: the debt is paid down in equal portions, with interest added. At the stated rate and no invoice fee, the effective annual rate including the setup fee is 5.26% and total repayment is SEK 113,004; for Nyckelkund customers these figures are 5.01% and SEK 112,454. This is the bank’s example, and the interest rate can change.
