Heavy zero-emission vehicles
Grants for Norwegian-registered businesses buying new battery-electric or hydrogen vehicles weighing more than 4.25 tonnes.

You can apply for a grant towards a new zero-emission truck, coach or minibus. The vehicle must run on batteries or hydrogen and have a permitted gross weight above 4,250 kg.
Enova can cover up to 60% of the additional cost compared with an equivalent diesel vehicle, capped at NOK 5 million per vehicle. Applications compete for a limited budget. Enova ranks them by the emissions reduction achieved for each krone of grant requested, with an additional commercial-maturity weighting for hydrogen vehicles.
Eligibility
- Your business must be registered in Norway's Enhetsregisteret and meet the general state-aid requirements. Businesses in financial difficulty cannot receive the grant.
- Apply before ordering the vehicle or signing a binding purchase contract.
- The grant is only for a vehicle's first registration. Used purchases and imports are excluded.
- Register the vehicle in Norway's Vehicle Register no later than 24 months after the grant is approved.
- If you plan to lease, the leasing company must apply. The operator may receive the benefit through a lower lease payment.
- The grant recipient must own the vehicle and record the investment on its balance sheet. Exporting and deregistering it within three years of first registration requires full repayment of the grant.

Read the terms and prepare the requested documents on Enova's application-information page, then continue to its application portal. Submit one application for each vehicle.
If your application succeeds, accept and sign the grant letter within 28 days of the decision and order the vehicle within 55 days.
