SME Packages – Sustainability
Luxembourg SMEs can receive a grant for practical measures to cut energy use or their carbon footprint, alongside water and waste improvements.
Deze mogelijkheid is momenteel in het Engels beschikbaar.
Fund a first sustainability project: energy-saving tools, a carbon assessment and action plan, or work to identify decarbonisation potential. The package also supports water-saving tools, waste management and waste reduction, and circular use of resources.
Your agreed project quote must be between €3,000 and €25,000 excluding VAT. The Ministry of the Economy reimburses 70% of eligible costs after the package has been implemented and you have paid the provider’s final bill.
Eligibility
Your company must hold a business permit issued by the Ministry of the Economy, meet the small or medium-sized enterprise (SME) size conditions, and have its registered office in Luxembourg.
For the linked SME size test, you must have fewer than 250 staff and meet either the annual-turnover threshold of less than €50 million or the annual-balance-sheet threshold of less than €43 million. Include the staff and financial figures of linked or partner businesses that form a single economic entity with your company.
A preliminary assessment by the House of Sustainability or the Chamber of Skilled Trades and Crafts is mandatory. The Approval Committee must approve your application before you accept the quote or carry out the project.

Make an appointment with the House of Sustainability of the Chamber of Commerce; craft businesses use the Chamber of Skilled Trades and Crafts’ eHandwierk service. Their preliminary assessment identifies priority actions and helps prepare your grant application.
Choose your package and service provider, and agree a quote within the eligible project range. An adviser prepares your application for the Approval Committee. Wait for approval before accepting the quote and starting the work.
After the provider finishes, attend the evaluation meeting to review satisfaction and savings; this closes the application process. Pay the final bill to the provider, then receive the Ministry’s reimbursement of 70% of eligible costs.
