Greener Home Loans
Borrow for home-efficiency improvements such as heat pumps, insulation and efficient appliances, with preferred rates for credit union members.
Deze mogelijkheid is momenteel in het Engels beschikbaar.
NBTA Credit Union finances improvements to your home’s energy efficiency, including heat pumps, better insulation, high-efficiency appliances and geothermal systems. Solar panels are subject to conditions that you must discuss with a Personal Banking Officer.
The credit union lends you money that you repay with interest under your loan agreement. The amount, repayment period, monthly payments and interest rate form part of the agreed terms. Contact NBTA’s lenders to discuss the rate and borrowing plan for your situation. The linked borrowing guide says early repayment penalties depend on the loan agreement.
The product is eligible for the credit union’s patronage rebate or profit-sharing programme; this does not promise a fixed rebate.
Eligibility
- Your work must improve your home’s efficiency. Solar panels require a separate discussion with a Personal Banking Officer.
- Borrow through NBTA Credit Union membership. Membership is open to the general public, including people outside the education community.
- Lending and credit conditions apply. NBTA’s linked borrowing guide says lenders consider income, employment status, credit history and personal circumstances. It describes borrowing in New Brunswick as available to people over 19.
- If you offer collateral for the loan, the application form says it must be an asset you own outright, free of other creditors’ claims.
