Home equipment and insulation rebates

Piedmont Electric CooperativeNorth Carolina

Rebates for cooperative members installing qualifying insulation, duct sealing, replacement heating or cooling systems, or heat-pump water heaters.

Deze mogelijkheid is momenteel in het Engels beschikbaar.

You can receive $100 for qualifying attic insulation and $100 for qualifying duct sealing, or $100 for an ENERGY STAR-rated heat-pump (hybrid) water heater.

Replacement heat pumps receive the following amounts. SEER and SEER2 are the cooling-efficiency ratings used in the rebate table; HSPF is its heating-efficiency rating. Match the ratings for your unit to the appropriate row.

  • Heat pump with 17 SEER or 16 SEER2: $300, with 8.8 HSPF for the SEER route or 7.5 HSPF for the SEER2 route.
  • Heat pump with 18 SEER or 17 SEER2 or greater: $400, with 8.8 HSPF for the SEER route or 7.5 HSPF for the SEER2 route.
  • Cold-climate heat pump: $500; the table sets no SEER/SEER2 or HSPF threshold for this category.
  • Mini-split heat pump with 18 SEER/SEER2 or less and HSPF at least 9.0: $400.
  • Mini-split heat pump with 19 SEER/SEER2 or more and HSPF at least 9.0: $500.

The heat-pump rebate is capped at $600 per system. Piedmont Electric credits the heat-pump rebate to your member account.

For a replacement air conditioner, the rebate is $150 at 17 SEER/16 SEER2, or $200 at 18 SEER/17 SEER2 or greater.
