Solar loan
Borrow SEK 30,000–350,000 without pledging security to install solar panels, if you have your mortgages with the bank.

You can choose any solar-panel supplier. Sparbanken Mälardalen lends you the money, and you repay it with interest over 1–12 years, depending on the loan’s size and purpose. The published interest rate is 3.90% and is variable, so it can change.
The setup fee is SEK 550, waived for Nyckelkund customers. Electronic payment notices are free; posted notices cost SEK 45 each. Contact the bank by telephone or at a branch if you want to make an extra repayment or repay early.
Eligibility
- You must provide a quotation for solar panels from a supplier.
- You must be at least 18 and have regular income that is not benefits, student aid or similar payments. Your finances must allow you to pay the loan’s costs, and you must have no recorded payment defaults (betalningsanmärkningar).
- You must be a customer of the bank and have your mortgages there. New customers can join using mobile BankID and then apply, or contact the bank by telephone or at a branch for help.

The money is paid out after your solar panels are installed and you have received an invoice. Contact the bank then; it sends you loan documents to sign and return, after which it pays the loan into your bank account.
To increase an existing solar loan, apply for a new loan. Contact the bank by telephone or at a branch if you also want to settle your old loan.
