Green commercial property loan
Loans for businesses financing newer commercial buildings or construction projects with qualifying energy labels or environmental certification.

Borrow up to 75% of the building’s value. Qualifying projects receive lower establishment costs and reduced instalment fees than comparable loans without the green-building requirements.
The business term loan is paid out in one sum and repaid in agreed instalments. The bank sets interest and repayment terms according to your security and ability to pay; the repayment period also depends on the investment and how quickly it loses value. Property registration fees to Kartverket are payable in addition.
Eligibility
Your business must be financing a newer commercial building or a construction project. The building must meet at least one of these alternatives:
- An energy label showing grade A or B.
- BREEAM-NOR environmental certification rated at least Very Good.
- The Svanemerke (Nordic Swan) environmental label.
A construction project may already have achieved the required environmental standards, or intend to achieve them. These standards concern the building’s operation and its construction process.
The bank assesses each property project’s structure, profile and risk, including the property’s cash flow, location and standard. The loan is secured by a mortgage over property.
