Renewable energy loan for businesses

Swedbank ABLitwa5 tys. EUR i więcej

Loans for small and medium-sized businesses and farmers buying or installing solar panels, wind turbines or heat pumps for their own use.

Ta możliwość jest obecnie dostępna po angielsku.

Finance renewable-energy equipment for your business’s own consumption with a loan that you repay to Swedbank. The repayment term is up to five years, or up to ten years for buying or installing solar panels.

For loans up to €35,000, the annual interest rate is 3.9% plus EURIBOR, the euro interbank reference rate. A negative EURIBOR is treated as zero. Pricing for larger loans is set individually. The published fee for concluding or managing the loan agreement is 0.4–1.5% of the loan amount, with a minimum of €120.

Eligibility

  • The offer is for small and medium-sized enterprises and farmers purchasing or installing renewable-energy equipment for their own use.
  • Your business must have operated for at least 12 months and provide financial statements for at least one financial year. Keep your anti-money laundering questionnaire with Swedbank complete and up to date.
  • Normally, you contribute 30% of the project cost. For buying or installing solar panels with APVA support, the bank lists a 0% initial contribution. This loan exception applies when the project has that support; it does not itself award an APVA grant.
  • Swedbank’s general security list requires the money in your accounts at the bank to be pledged as security for repayment. It also lists property used as security and sureties or guarantees, where another party commits to cover the debt if you cannot repay. For solar panels with APVA support, its specific conditions state that loans up to €15,000 require no collateral, while loans above €15,000 require a pledge of movable or immovable property.

Discuss purchase and installation costs with your equipment supplier, then apply through Swedbank’s business internet banking. Sign the loan agreement digitally or at a Swedbank branch.

If property collateral is needed, obtain a valuation from a real estate agency accepted by the bank, register the collateral and arrange insurance. Swedbank transfers the money after the agreement is signed and any required collateral is registered. The bank may request an annual financial report no older than 12 months if it has not been submitted to the Center of Registers.
