Up to €3,000 for owner-occupiers in Waadhoeke to have floor or bottom insulation installed in a poorly insulated house.

Ta możliwość jest obecnie dostępna po angielsku.

This entry covers the municipal grant route where you choose a professional company to insulate an existing floor or the bottom of a crawl space. The grant covers up to 100% of necessary, reasonable costs directly attributable to eligible work, up to €3,000 per application. You pay the company’s invoice and Duurzaam Bouwloket reimburses the approved eligible amount after checking your evidence. Final support is based on actual eligible costs.

Costs of preparing the application, technical housing advice and ecological research are excluded. Costs already subsidised from another source and taxes or charges you can recover or offset are also excluded. There is one grant per dwelling; a previous award under this scheme prevents a further application.

Eligibility

  • You must own and live in the house as your main home and be registered there in Waadhoeke’s population register. This route covers ground-bound homes with energy label D, E, F or G. Ground-bound means a home with its own front door and no other dwelling or building above or below it. Its WOZ property value must be no more than €300,000 at the valuation date of 1 January 2022.
  • The work must improve the existing insulated boundary between the heated home and its surroundings. New construction and extensions do not qualify, nor does a part of the home that is demolished and rebuilt. The house must have been built before 1 January 2019, or its building permit must have been applied for before 1 July 2018. Work carried out before 1 June 2024 is excluded. The project must be financially and practically feasible and comply with applicable law, including nature-protection rules; check the municipality’s approach before starting.
  • Floor or bottom insulation must cover at least 20 m², with funding limited to 130 m². New material must achieve an Rd insulation value of at least 3.5 m²K/W; existing insulation cannot count toward this value. Choose material on the official insulation product lists. On-site sprayed PIR or PUR foam must use HFK-free blowing agents.
  • Floor insulation is fitted above or below an existing floor; bottom insulation is placed on the crawl-space bottom. You can combine them in different areas, with at least 20 m² together and one application for both. Layers directly above each other receive support for only one of the two measures.

  • Available budget limits awards. Complete applications are ranked by receipt; tied applications may be ranked by lottery.[^c8]

Start the application on Duurzaam Bouwloket’s dedicated Waadhoeke page. Enter your address and contact details, answer the home questions and agree to the scheme conditions. Choose the option to arrange your own insulation company; the administrator reserves the money before the work. Applications are accepted through 31 August 2027, subject to the available budget. Complete applications are ranked by receipt time, with a lottery if tied applications exceed the budget.

If the insulation was already installed after 31 May 2024, you can use the same self-chosen-company route to request reimbursement. Submit the invoices and required evidence with your application; the municipality determines the final grant directly, without a prior grant award.

For work still to be carried out, complete the work within 12 months of the grant award and no later than 31 December 2027. Pay the invoice and submit all measures’ evidence together, requesting final settlement within eight weeks after completion. Keep the quotation, invoices, payment proof and photographs during the work. They must show the area installed, product type and brand, material and thickness, your address, purchase and installation dates, and payment amount and date. Photographs must identify the product and show the installation.

Keep original invoices and other evidence for at least five years after final settlement and cooperate with sample checks for up to six months after settlement. The general subsidy rules also allow checks within five years after completion and require proof to be retained for that period. Promptly notify the municipality in writing if you cannot complete the work or meet the grant obligations, or if relevant changes affect them. Failure to meet the measure conditions can lead to withdrawal; the general rules also permit withdrawal or amendment of a settled grant.
