Community energy-saving initiatives grant

Gemeente VoorstHolandiado 5 tys. EUR

One-off grants up to €5,000 for community energy-saving and public-charging initiatives linked to Voorst.

Ta możliwość jest obecnie dostępna po angielsku.

Fund a community initiative that makes your surroundings more energy neutral. Examples include LED lighting for a sports association and making private land available for a public charging point. LED lighting for an individual home is excluded.

The one-off grant is limited to €5,000. Only costs not covered by another subsidy qualify. The percentage depends on the grant amount: a grant up to €500 can cover up to 100% of eligible costs; a grant over €500 and up to €2,000 can cover up to 50%; a grant over €2,000 can cover up to 20%. The municipality can refuse support if you already have enough of your own or third-party funds to cover the activity.

Eligibility

  • Your registered seat (the location named in your statutes) must be in Voorst, or the initiative must physically take place in Voorst.
  • Applicants can be nonprofit organisations, or individuals and organisations whose initiative serves a community interest and is hardly or not at all directed towards individual economic or business benefit.
  • The activity must sufficiently benefit the municipality and be open to everyone in its target group. You may not distinguish by belief, race, sex or sexual orientation unless the distinction serves an emancipatory purpose, such as improving the position of a disadvantaged group.
  • Information about the initiative and the grant must be freely shareable; there must be no confidentiality. Explain financially why the requested amount is needed.

  • One-off route: apply at least eight weeks before the activity starts; the municipality may shorten this period in special circumstances.

Contact Gemeente Voorst at duurzaam@voorst.nl with your idea to have it assessed for this grant.

Submit the one-off grant application in writing at least eight weeks before the activity starts. Include a budget and a plan describing the activities, their objectives, and the people and materials needed for each activity. Legal entities must also supply a copy of their founding deed or latest statutes. The municipality can waive specified documents and shorten the application period in special circumstances.

Report material changes to your application information in good time and provide information and cooperation for municipal checks. Apply for final settlement within twelve weeks after the activity ends; the municipality can extend that deadline in special circumstances. The final grant may be reduced if activities are not completed, grant duties are not met, incorrect or incomplete information would have changed the award, or you knew or should have known the award was incorrect. Costs that cannot reasonably be considered necessary are excluded when settlement depends on actual costs. The municipality can recover overpaid support, within five years after the final grant is determined, or after a later act that breaches a continuing grant duty.

To the extent that the grant creates assets, compensation for that asset formation is due to the municipality when funded assets are sold, made subject to a charge, such as being pledged as security, or put to another use; insurance or other compensation is received for their loss or damage; funded activities end wholly or partly; the grant is withdrawn or ended; or the recipient legal entity is dissolved. Compensation is based on the value of the assets when it becomes due, or the compensation received for loss or damage; real estate is valued independently. It is assessed within one year of the municipality knowing or being able to know of the event, and no later than five years after notification of the last final-settlement decision.
