Energy renovation loan
A secured loan for households improving the energy efficiency of a home or holiday property, or paying their share of a housing-company energy renovation.

Borrow from €10,000 for energy-efficiency improvements. Examples include replacing oil heating with ground-source heating, installing solar panels or an air-source heat pump, adding insulation, and replacing windows or external doors.
You can also use the loan to pay the share of a housing-company energy renovation allocated to your apartment, including an investment apartment.
Eligibility
- You must be a Säästöpankki customer. The offer covers existing customers and new customers who concentrate their banking at Säästöpankki.
- You need collateral, usually the property being renovated. Both the mortgage borrower and the collateral must satisfy the bank’s normal lending requirements. The amount you can borrow depends on your ability to repay and the collateral available.

If you already have a Säästöpankki mortgage, complete the loan application in online banking. Select “Asuntolaina” (mortgage), enter the energy-loan amount as “Hankintahinta” (purchase price) on the next page, describe the renovation in “lainan lisätiedot” (additional loan information), and submit.
If you are applying for a new mortgage or moving your current mortgage to Säästöpankki, use “Hae lainaa muiden pankkien tunnuksilla” on its website and authenticate with credentials from a bank operating in Finland. Select mortgage, then “Oma asunto” (own home) or “Kilpailutan nykyisen lainani” (compare offers for my current loan). In the additional information at the end, say that you also want an energy loan, how much you need and what renovation you plan.
Submitting an application does not commit you to taking the loan.
