Funding for business energy projects in Finland

Energy Aid does not fund conventional renewable-energy installations, apart from biogas plants with their own conditions. The project must be voluntary; it cannot simply fulfil a legal environmental duty or a mandatory energy-audit requirement.

A funding decision is required before starting or placing an unconditional binding order. Business Finland pays the grant after the final report, so the project needs financing until that payment arrives.
