Energy audit co-funding
Co-funding for detailed facility or equipment-system energy audits that identify energy savings and emissions cuts, for large-energy-use private businesses and public organisations.
Această oportunitate este disponibilă momentan în limba engleză.
EECA can contribute up to 40% of an energy audit’s cost, capped at NZD20,000, to help you identify cost-effective ways to reduce energy use and carbon emissions in your processes and plant.
A Type 2 audit examines the whole facility’s equipment and operations and quantifies potential energy savings. A Type 3 audit examines a specific system with additional measurement, usually to support decisions on larger upgrades where costs and savings need greater certainty. Examples include compressed-air, pump, fan and refrigeration systems.
EECA indicates a minimum investment of NZD20,000 for this offer. This is an indicative investment figure; the NZD20,000 funding limit is the maximum contribution towards the audit cost.
Eligibility
- Private-sector businesses must spend more than NZD3 million a year on stationary energy: energy used in processes and plant.
- Public organisations, including state-owned enterprises, and local government are also eligible. EECA lists these separately from the private-business spending threshold.
- The audit provider must be accredited and work to the EECA-approved audit standards AS/NZS 3598.1:2014 and AS/NZS 3598.2:2014. This means hiring a qualified provider to carry out the facility or system assessment to the required energy-audit standards; EECA publishes a list of approved providers.
