Rooftop solar loan
Borrow up to ₹200,000 for a grid-connected rooftop solar system of up to 3 kW on your own home, as a new or existing home-loan customer.
Diese Finanzierungsmöglichkeit ist derzeit auf Englisch beschrieben.
Punjab & Sind Bank provides a term loan for residential rooftop solar installations backed by PM Surya Ghar. For systems up to 3 kW, you can borrow up to ₹200,000. You must contribute at least 10% of the total estimated project cost yourself.
You repay the borrowed money with interest over a term of up to ten years. The bank allows a moratorium, a period before repayments start, of up to six months. It publishes a concessional interest rate of 7.00% linked to its External Benchmark Linked Lending Rate (EBLR), so the rate is linked to a benchmark rather than guaranteed for the whole loan term.
The bank lists nil charges and fees. The solar equipment financed by the loan serves as security for the bank; additional collateral is not insisted on.
Central Financial Assistance, the scheme’s subsidy, is separate from the loan and must be claimed by you. The bank lists subsidy support up to ₹78,000 for this system-size option.
Eligibility
- You must be an individual who owns the house and has the exclusive right to use its rooftop. The installation must be for residential use and connected to the electricity grid.
- The bank’s eligible customer groups are new home-loan customers and existing home-loan customers.
- This option covers a solar plant of up to 3 kW. You must pay at least 10% of the total estimated project cost yourself.
