Home insulation reimbursement

Gemeente EpePaíses Baixos

Reimbursement for homeowners in Epe who have a contractor insulate their poorly insulated home.

Esta oportunidade está atualmente disponível em inglês.

For a first-time claim, Gemeente Epe reimburses professional insulation costs up to €2,000 per home. If you spend less, you receive the amount you paid, and cannot make another claim for later costs. Natural insulation materials such as wood fibre, hemp or flax qualify for an extra €250.

This entry covers contractor-installed cavity-wall, external-wall, floor, ground, roof, attic or loft insulation. You may combine the municipal reimbursement with the national ISDE subsidy for insulation installed by a company.

Eligibility

The work must be carried out by a recognized insulation company.

You must own the home and live there as its main occupant. It must be a ground-level house in Epe, such as a terraced, corner, semi-detached or detached house, built before 1993. Its WOZ property value must be €650,000 or less at the reference date of 1 January 2022.

The home must have registered energy label C, D, E, F or G. Labels A and B do not qualify. Without a registered label, at least two building components must be poorly insulated. The municipality uses these tests:

  • Roof: less than 9 cm insulation and Rc ≤ 2.0.
  • Attic or loft floor: no insulation and Rc ≤ 0.5.
  • Walls: no cavity-wall, internal-wall or external-wall insulation and Rc ≤ 1.1.
  • Floor or ground: less than 5 cm insulation and Rc ≤ 1.3.
  • Windows: single glazing, old double glazing or HR glazing, with Ug ≥ 1.6.

Rc is the building component’s thermal resistance; Ug measures heat passing through the glass. If you are unsure whether your home meets the poor-insulation test, arrange an energy-coach appointment before starting work.

For the new insulation, the required minimum Rd value is 1.1 for cavity walls and 3.5 for external walls, floors or ground, roofs, attic or loft floors. Minimum areas are 10 m² for cavity or external walls and 20 m² for the other measures. Rd tells you how well the insulation material resists heat; a higher value means better insulation, and you can check it in product information. UF foam (urea-formaldehyde foam) is excluded.

Only the existing, poorly insulated living space qualifies. Garages, outbuildings, extensions, dormers and parts demolished and rebuilt are excluded. Cavity-wall insulation must follow the nature-friendly protocol and nature calendar: the cavity must first be made free of animals, and the installer must follow the applicable nature-friendly guidelines. Put this clearly in the quotation or invoice.

This entry covers homes claiming for the first time; the reimbursement can be requested only once per address.

Condições do período de candidaturas
  • Apply before contractor work or within 12 months after execution.[^c7]
  • First-time claims only; one application per address.[^c3]

Apply through the Gemeente Epe online form before the contractor work or within 12 months after it is carried out.

Before work, submit a quotation signed by you. After work, submit the quotation, invoice, payment proof and a photo of the installed insulation, in PDF or JPEG format. For cavity walls, the quotation must include the Natuurvriendelijk Isoleren (NVI) protocol; completed work must show that it was done in a nature-friendly way. Always photograph the installed insulation: the municipality may inspect whether the work meets the conditions.

You can also collect a paper form at the town-hall counter and return it there or post it to Gemeente Epe, Team Duurzaamheid.
