Solar PV and battery subsidy
Payments towards solar panels and battery storage bought directly through Stadtwerke Witten for buildings in Witten.

This route within the utility’s funding programme supports a solar photovoltaic (PV) installation bought together with battery storage. Stadtwerke Witten transfers the confirmed subsidy after completion, receipt of the invoice and fulfilment of the conditions.
The payment depends on usable battery capacity confirmed in the utility’s offer:

The wallbox is an optional electric-vehicle charging point bought through Stadtwerke Witten as part of the same project; it does not receive this addition on its own.
Eligibility
- The building must be in Witten.
- Buy both the PV installation and battery directly through Stadtwerke Witten. For the additional wallbox payment, buy the wallbox through the utility as well.
- Use the usable storage capacity confirmed in the offer to identify the applicable payment band, starting at 5 kWh.
- Complete the measure and ensure the required invoice reaches Stadtwerke Witten by 31 December 2026.
Other funding may be combined where the other programme’s rules allow it. Check its application requirements before ordering: some public grants require an application before work begins, and the utility’s application does not replace it.

- The programme covers 1 January to 31 December 2026. The measure must be complete and the required invoice received by Stadtwerke Witten by 31 December 2026; submission alone does not meet this cutoff. Fresh applicants can submit planned measures through the online form.[^c5][^c6]
Apply through Stadtwerke Witten’s online funding form and select “Speicher zur PV Anlage”. The form accepts planned measures and asks for personal contact and bank details.
Give the installation address, building type and planned completion date, with an offer or order number if available. After completion, submit the invoice and any required supporting evidence. Payment requires the confirmed subsidy amount and the applicant’s bank details; the utility transfers the amount when all conditions are met. The work must be complete and invoices received by the year-end deadline.
