Natural-hazard prevention grant
Grants for Swedish municipalities to protect existing built areas from floods, landslides, rockfalls and erosion, including adaptation to climate change.
Pilot and demonstration grants for energy innovations
Demonstrate innovative energy solutions in larger-scale projects with at least SEK 10 million in eligible costs. The June 2026 intake is closed.
Kraftlyftet – Production and storage
Investment grants for renewable power generation and connected energy storage that strengthen Sweden’s electricity supply. The 2026 application round has closed.
Bio-CCS investment and operating support
Companies capturing carbon dioxide from biomass at existing Swedish plants can bid for support for permanent underground storage. The second auction closed in August 2026.
Biogas production support
Raw-biogas producers operating in Sweden can receive support per kilowatt-hour for manure-based gas and gas upgraded to methane-network quality. The 2026 production round closed on 15 December 2025.

Peatland rewetting agreements
Compensation for landowners who rewet drained peatland, with planning and ditch plugging paid for by the Swedish Forest Agency.
Intermediate-crop payment
A one-year payment for farmers growing an intermediate crop to store carbon in arable soil. Applications for 2026 have closed.
Ley cultivation payment
A one-year payment for productive grass or legume leys that store carbon in arable land. Applications for 2026 have closed.
